Clinical Social Worker
Tera Theriault is an independent licensed clinical social worker. She studied psychology at University of New-Brunswick from 1993 - 1996 and earned a Bachelor of Social Worker at St. Thomas University in 1998. She went on to study a Master of Social Work at Carleton University and completed a Master of Social Work in her home town at the University of Moncton. Tera Theriault is a mother of four who earned both her undergraduate and her graduate degree while mothering. She began her career working in residential group homes while simultaneously working as a child and adolescent clinical social worker providing public mental health services. She has experience in both child and adult psychiatric hospital settings providing individual and group therapy. For the past 12 years, she has dedicated her time to professional development and building her private Clinical Social Work practice. Tera Theriault completed a Mediation Practitioner's Certificate (UPEI) in 2020. She uses a collaborative approach to conflict resolution and problem solving. Her current repertoire of services includes individual, couples and family therapy as well as mediation services. Tera Theriault takes pleasure in contributing to the profession of Social Work through advocacy.

I have over 24 years of collaborating with individuals, couples and families in various mental settings assisting to uncover the social interactions that contribute to personal experiences. I work with clients to enhance awareness and to develop skills to improve interpersonal relationships as well as individual functioning.
I genuinely believe in the power of transformation through empowerment, resilience and action. I consider myself a ally to those who are seeking change and are looking for a collaborative approach to addressing issues.
